Cavs forward injured in international play, taken to hospital after player falls on his leg.

Sam Amico of NBA.com reports via Twitter that Anderson Varejao was injured during an international exhibition against Spain. Former Magic draft pick Fran Vasquez landed on Varejao's leg, and injured his right ankle . Varejao was taken to the hosptial for tests.
We'll keep you updated on Varejao's condition, which could be minor for all we know. However, anything significant will 1. severely hurt Brazil's chances in FIBA play in the coming weeks, 2. spur the calls from NBA ownership who want to limit players' international participation, and 3. cast an even darker shadow over the start of a Cavs season that's pretty much pitch black as can be. We're talking "Battlefield Earth " bad, that's how bad the season is looking, after losing just one player.
Hopefully it's just a tweak and the tests will come out negative for the player affectionately referred to as "Flopsy."
UPDATE 11:39 p.m. EST: Julian Carlos Mozo reports via Twitter (translated) that the injury is "slight" and Varejao should miss one week, which is a huge sigh of relief for Brazillian fans, Cavs fans, and floppy hair fans. (HT: Filipe Furtado )
