Charlie Villanueva Twitter rant on Kevin Garnett

A late-night rant about Boston Celtics power forward Kevin Garnett appeared on the Twitter account of Detroit Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva. Posted by Ben Golliver Between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Wednesday morning, multiple messages appeared on the Twitter feed of Detroit Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva, who goes by @CV31 on the social networking site.  Villanueva is a regular Twitter user, but these messages were different, as they were extremely negative and directed anger and frustration at Boston Celtics power forward Kevin Garnett. A first message read, "KG talks alot of crap, he's prob never been in a fight, I would love to get in a ring with him, I will expose him." Shortly thereafter, two additional messages appeared on the account, "KG called me a cancer patient, I'm pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he's tossing it like it's a joke ...  I wouldn't even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place for those." Screenshots of the tweets are visible below. charlie-villanueva The Pistons played the Celtics on Tuesday night in Detroit, and Villaneuva and Garnett were both issued technical fouls after a minor confrontation late in the game. Villanueva has dealt with jokes about his appearance for years, as this 2006 SI.com article by Andrew Lawrence makes clear. Villanueva suffers from "a mysterious skin disease known as alopecia universalis," writes Lawrence, "which would slowly make him hairless." NBA players have had their Twitter accounts hacked in the past, most memorably Celtics guard Ray Allen, whose account had explicit messages posted on it. It's not immediately clear whether Villanueva was posting the messages or if his account was hacked, although shortly before the Garnett-related tweets were posted, the following message was posted: "Just landed in the ATL, we must win tomorrow, we will turn this around, I'm a believer." The Pistons, who are one of only two teams in the league that are 0-4 on the season, along with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers, play the Hawks in Atlanta on Wednesday night.  Update (Wednesday): ESPN's Justin Verrier confirms that the tweets were written by Villanueva himself.

It seems to me that Bronco&Husky doesnt get many friend requests or anyone following his teweets therefore he thinks they are gay.  I myself have been able to reconnect with old Marine Corps buds and high school mates.  Im able to stay in touch with my son easier because of facebook.  I guess if he had a life besides posting ridiculous political crap he wouldnt be posting dumb s**t

Bronco-Buster? You like to throw the "gay" word around alot!  Leave your lame ass political views in the closet along with your gayness.  That being said, KG may or may not have said what he said. CV, grow a pair and man up!

I guess you don't watch the best show on TV then do you?? I'm a UCONN fan but Charlie V is my least favourite player to ever make it to the NBA from that school, there's a reason Calhoun would bench him. He likes to stand behind the 3 point line and chuck em up instead of using his size down low to dominate. He's a bum and I find it funny he has to use his stupid little tweets to tell everyone how Garnett called him bad names. Yes twitter is gay, fu&kin gay as hell and yes it pisses me off.   "Bring it on Earnhardt, i'm as poor and stupid as all of you"

Stop the swearing, there are kids watching.  Other than New York and Boston, we try not to use them in our households.

He wasn't in your househould.  Welcome to the concept of freedom.

I have no doubt he said this.  Ever since he won his first ring, he has become a class-A p.o.s. trash-talker on the court.  The worst part is, he trash-talks guys who he, and everyone else, knows he is better than.  He's afraid to talk the true stars of the game, b/c he knows he can't back it up.  Anyone remember the fire he spit at Andray Blatche (rookie) last year?  Ruthless.  If you're so damn good KG, you shouldn't even be wasting your time on rookies and journeymen (CV).

Say what you want about his intensity on the court...you can be intense and not a thoughtless prick at the same time.  The latter is what he's best at.  No doubt he said it.  He better keep his eye on the rearview...karma's a comin'.

Cancer is a serious thing, and no joking matter, but when I read this, I laughed out loud. That is some funny shit.

What happens to people when they move to New York and Boston?  Obvious they change to emulate their surroundings.  The farther east you move, the bigger the jerk you become.   Be a good person, live in Minnesota Nice.   And by the way, what is up with all the "MF's" after every basket?   What a loser and a goon!!!  Stop the swearing, there are kids watching.  Other than New York and Boston, we try not to use them in our households.
