Delonte West breaks wrist - what's Boston to do?

After a big spill Wednesday against the Nets, Celtics guard Delonte West suffered a fairly significant right wrist injury. Significant meaning it's broken.

Ouch, Celtics.

After making a driving layup with a couple minutes left in the first half, West went immediately down and clutched at his right wrist. Boston's trainer checked him for an extended time and West walked off the court holding his wrist close to his body. After getting X-rayed, it was discovered West broke the wrist. Typically, that's something that'll keep West out for months and depending on the break or if surgery is needed, longer.

If you have a good memory, this is the same wrist West broke two years ago in a similar fashion. A shame for a guy that was finally getting his season started. West just can't seem to catch a break (pun sort of intended).

This could be a significant blow to the Celtics as Rajon Rondo is dealing with a few different things. Rondo missed his third straight game Wednesday sitting out with a sore left hamstring. But Rondo is also battling plantar fasciitis in his right foot. So with the Celtics' point guard situation having some issues, it's possible that they could be looking to bring in some added help, tweeted Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

Right now, Nate Robinson and rookie Avery Bradley are the only healthy options for Boston at point guard so it's very likely someone will get brought in. The once very deep Celtic bench just got a bit thinner. And depending on Rondo's health, the Celtics' season could be taking a turn as well.

Delonte West breaks wrist - what's Boston to do?

For a second I considered that every nitwit on the site somehow gravitates toward my posts, but I did like you said and took the blinders off. Good to see you're still pumping out the alternate screen names to give the illusion of support for your childish anti-Boston rhetoric. Better get a few more accounts ready for baseball season, as your obsession with writing obscene insults about Pedroia has gotten you banned pretty regularly in the past.

It says a lot that your favorite teams include the Yankees and Heat and you trash talk other cities without even having an allegiance to one. And you have the balls to call someone else a d-bag? Rondo is putting up more assists than anyone since Stockton when he's healthy. If your claim that any random PG could replace him weren't obviously ridiculous, one would think that Carlos Arroyo would be putting up 20 assists per game with Miami's big 3. How's that working out by the way, kid?

Also, I knew Garnett didn't like people with cancer but I did not know that he was also a "racists". Is his racism so strong that it cannot be contained within a single Garnett? Does he have racist clones out there?

Plantar fasciitis can take a long time to heal.

Rondo has Plantar Fasciitis. I have had it too.

There is a good web site explaining what is Plantar fasciitis:

This is really disheartening. Delonte finally got back in the lineup and has played well. He was given an opportunity to get more minutes with Rondo out and now this. Looks like Nate will need to step up and show more consistency. Bradley will have to contribute as well. And it was reported he was probably heading for D-League. Over the last 3 years, however, the Celtics have managed to keep winning despite injuries. And everyone knows with the age of this team, health will be as important as anything. They will have to find new ways to manufacture offense. Same kind of thing happened with Marquis Daniels last year. He was playing well and starting to get minutes and he got injured. Hope to have Delonte back ASAP.
