Hello LD. Rain and storms here in the northern Central Valley of California, perhaps a little thunder/lightning, and even snow up the hill around 6000 feet, they say. Back to your normal summer heat in a day or two I'm sure. I'm out to do some bizness, and throw the discs (yep, they even fly far in the rain!). Hope everyone's day goes well whereever you are.Hey ya Koy!! Send some of that rain our way buddy!
Expecting To FlyQuite possibly my favorite Neil Young song. A little herbal enhancement helps.
She Said, She Said- The Beatles
Supposedly Peter Fonda was the inspiration to this song, during a LSD filled party, he apparently told John and George that he knew what it was like to be dead.
My Little Town- Simon and Garfunkel
This is one of the few songs that Paul and Artie recorded together after their first break-up. It appears on Simon's Still Crazy After All These Years and Garfunkel's Breakaway. It's a very bleak song lyrically, but an upbeat tempo and punchy chorus.
"Nothing But The Dead and Dying
Back In My Little Town"
In The City- The Jam
This is the first song by The Jam I ever heard.
Coming to Roseville, California on June 15th!Sounds like fun Flamingo...I'll be following the Giants up to Seattle that wknd, otherwise I'd probably check that out.
Hey jonny! Hope all is well. Are you liking the new gig?Hey ld. The new gig is great, but it's exhausting. I'm on a 6:27 train into the city to be in my building by 7:15. If I leave work by 5, it's a miracle and then back to the train and home.
Also, how is your health?
Hey ld. The new gig is great, but it's exhausting. I'm on a 6:27 train into the city to be in my building by 7:15. If I leave work by 5, it's a miracle and then back to the train and home.Man, the new gig sounds like a serious grind. Hope you're liking the work at least.
As for my health, my surgeon gave me the "Thumbs Up." He doesn't want to see again for 6 months and he lifted all the physical restrictions I have been living with for the last 6 months. He said that physical therapy would be a waste of time and money, since there are no exercises that they can do with me that I can't do by myself. I streth my neck muscles every morning and night to help increase range of motion (which is pretty limited right now). It's getting a little better every day though.
How's life with you? Excited about the pending Kings Cup triumph?
What great news about your health. Sounds like it worked out about as well as it could have, given the circumstances. I am very grateful that you're ok.I am very grateful for all of the work that my surgeon did and for all of the support everyone has provided. It's amazing how much impact a few kind words do, when you're feeling down and out.
Life with me is so-so. I have to have double hernia surgery, and I'm scheduled to go in July 26. I didn't really notice the amount of discomfort I was in until I went to the doctor and acknowledged I had a problem, and not it seems like my whole body aches most of the time. The power of the subconscious mind, I guess.
