I face Frank next weekEh. it's not so bad although sometimes it's more fun to be facing away from me.
I just want to say how much I appreciate you letting go of Yu Darvish.
I definitely debated this particular move for some time...ultimately it was his high walk rate that made him expendable. With strike outs being only worth half a point while walks are minus one point, a SP that doesn't have a K/Walk rate greater than at least 2-1 just doesn't cut it in this format...especially with a WHIP above 1.45 and only a roughly 50% QS rate. Since I wanted to have a third RP on my roster for when my two AL East RPs face off against each other (maybe that was the flaw in my strategy) and I added Roy Oswalt for my playoff push, I was between Yu Darvish and Ricky Romero and I chose experience over youth...we'll see how this decision pans out.
I don't think you are gay or a tranny with a girl in a well at your house putting on lotion.
Good to know...not that anyone with more than two marbles rolling inside their head would have thought otherwise.
Now wouldn't it be rather silly of me to trade Joey Bats, for whom I've just traded? The same applies to Trumbo. He's put up 61pts in the last 14. He has 28.5 this week going in to Wednesday
If you want to keep both players at the expense of having to scour the waiver wire for quality SPs, then there isn't going to be anything I can do to convince you otherwise until like Marty and Dave you lose a few straight and come to the realization that being mediocre at 3-4 SP slots is going to lead to about a .500 record...not nearly good enough to make the playoffs.
My experience (for what that's worth) has taught me that you need at least 3 stud SPs to consistently rely on...anything less than 2 studs is going to lead to very unstable weekly point performances that prevent you from winning more than 60% of the time. You only have James McDonald and Ryan Voglesong in the Top 30 SPs so maybe that's enough, but I'm guessing not...we'll see who is right over the next few weeks.
You can't afford the above and you would have to overpay for Aviles, Chris Davis, or Bonifacio. I can't believe your 3rd baseman dilemma has lasted so long.
I've been disappointed that one of the many players on the waiver wire hasn't been able to consistently step up their game, but I only have a few more weeks to go before Evan Longoria returns to my lineup. That being said, there is no way I'm relinguishing a Top 25 SP for anyone less than a legitimate every day starter.
Still trailing this week. Only had one pitcher used so far so it's a weekend comeback attempt for the President's Club this week. Current score is 112-71. We're still within reach but we would like to close the gap by Friday and finish them off by Sunday. The good news is that the team behind of us is losing as well and the undefeated team is losing too. So no one gains ground on us and the undefeated team will drop down a peg before we face them next week.
Positivity is key to tuning out the negative ones....
