Just got this......
With Free shipping I had to put a bid in, a bit surprised I got it for this cheap considering it's numbered to just 10.

Not as nice as a Csonka/Griese I saw and wanted last night......but that one also went way out of my price range lol.
I guess this shows my trust/faith in Henne is slowly coming back......as "Henne auto" has now returned to my Ebay searches the past few weeks.  lol  Plus if he does turn things around, now is the time to buy.......either way, happy with this one since it's a dual and due to the scarcity.

That's part of the reason I tend to focus on buying cards.  There's less guesswork when it comes to authenticity.
All the autographed cards I get are created and put into packs by the company......so they're not cards that somebody had a player sign (or they forged and said were signed).
I suppose if you want to be cynical there always is a chance that even though they are authenticated by Topps/UD, etc. they could be fake, but I really think that would be a very small minority (most are signed in the presence of somebody) and the companies reputations rest on such cards being authentic.

I got a couple more Jake Long auto's this week too.  Even though he was a #1 pick and off to a Hall of Fame start to his career you can get something like this for .99 cents. (the link is an auction I won the other night)  As usual, the OL doesn't get much love/attention......that's certainly the case in the hobby world.

The only bad thing about that card is the Michigan uni, but the card says "Miami Dolphins" so I consider it such.....nice on card autograph though and I dig that set with the frame and the card being canvas.

WTF****!  I just heard the TV behind me say Ted Ginn TD.
Gotta see what this is about......

So I guess every couple years Ginn is good for a 2 TD return game.

And Yeah Cardinals.  I'm pretty shocked that Newton had over 400 yards and kept it close......glad Arz. pulled it out and I wasn't knocked out in Week 1.

I need to purchase a new Dolphins jersey.  Thinking about Davone Bess, Reggie Bush, Cameron Wake, Karlos Dansby, or Jake Long

The last Dolphins jersey I got was Chris Chambers........they traded him a few weeks later.

I think I'm less likely to buy football jersey's because the "replica" ones (even the more expensive replica's they made) are so crappy and still nearly $100.  Then the Authentic one's are just too expensive.
Maybe I'll just buy a knock-off.....seems the quality really varies on those......but it's got to be better than a silk-screened or fake vinyl patch replica.

Bears fan here with a couple fantasy questions for Dolphin fans...

I know the Dolphins were a run first team with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams, but with Reggie Bush are they going to open up the passing game?

I targeted Reggie Bush in both of my drafts ( a 10 team league and a 16 team league ) and got him in both, I think he will have a good year.

In my 16 team league Brian Hartline is a free agent and I am thinking about dropping Bernard Berrian to pick him up.

He was targeted by Henne 7 times on Monday, but the " experts " say he will be behind Marshall, Bush, Bess, and Fasano in targets.

Was his week 1 performance an anomoly or was his involvment in the offense a sign of things to come?

Advice regarding your team would be much appreciated.

I think the "anomaly" was probably the 49 pass attempts.  As I was saying in another thread, you'd think the team would like that to come down some.  In terms of Hartline's involvement......he is a legitimate part of the offense and will be out there consistently with a chance to produce.  Though I will say the "experts" are right in the sense that - Marshall and Bess......probably even Fasano and Bush are ahead of him on the food chain.
I've always liked Hartline......but realistically, my expectation would be that he is a 3-4 catch 30-60 yard a week kind of guy.

As for Bush - the only concern I'd have his is health.  As long as he is healthy he should be a decent play.
That's obviously due to him being a dual threat.  So even in a game like Monday night, he can provide value in the passing game.  It looks like he'll get close to 20 touches a game.......so if we're talking pure fantasy value......it doesn't really matter if he's doing it on the ground or through the air.....he should put up some yards and will have a chance to make some big plays.

This is scary, we actually have the same exact picks for this week. Minnesota is favored, but with the way McNabb played I don't see picking them to win anything just yet. Philly -ATL is a tossup, so I went with the more hyped team just because they are the new americas team.  I'm a little shaky with the Browns over Indy.

I didn't lock in my Survivor picks yet.......but yeah, Pittsburgh was going to be mine as well.  Laughing
I swear I'm not just copying what you said. Haha.
I was looking at other games......but that just seems like the safest pick and I don't want to get too cute in week 2.  I guess there is always a chance Pittsburgh could be a much worse team than I anticipated, but I don't think that'll be the case......I think they have to bounce back in this one.

rymflaherty,

Thanks for your insight on Bush and Hartline.

I've always liked Hartline......but realistically, my expectation would be that he is a 3-4 catch 30-60 yard a week kind of guy.

That would be my expectation also. In a 16 team league, I am looking for a back up WR that will be consistent week to week so I can plug him in on bye weeks or in case of an injury to one of my starters.

I think Hartline fits that criteria.

Holy Crap - Carolina is taking it to Green Bay early.

Maybe I should have went with the worst-to-first trend in that division and picked them . Laughing lol
If you looked at the numbers they suggested both Tampa Bay and Atlanta were due for a regression....I bought into that with Tampa, but couldn't with Atlanta.  I'm sure since I typed this Green Bay will just go on a 34-0 blitzkrieg run anyway.

Maybe I should keep these too myself......did better the first week that way Laughing
But anyways, here's my winners for Sunday

New England
Cincinnati
Miami
Tennessee
Minnesota
New Orleans
New York Giants
Carolina
Oakland
Baltimore
San Diego
Green Bay
Seattle
Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh
Dallas

Don't want to jinx things - so I guess I won't give the "Survivor" pick.....but considering I already used Pittsburgh, there are a ton of games this week that I can see going either way......so I went with the obvious one, even though it breaks one of my "rules".
