Fins sign Guyton to a one-year contract, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Signed by the New England Patriots as an un-drafted out of Georgia Tech in 2008, Guyton has started 32 of 60 games over the last four seasons, totaling 229 tackles, 4.5 sacks and three interceptions.

After starting all 16 games in 2009, Guyton was signed to a two-year, $2.3 million extension despite being an exclusive rights free agent. In the two seasons since, Guyton has started 14 of 29 games and has 111 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions as his playing time has decreased from 87 percent in 2009 to 57 percent in 2010 to 36 percent in 2011.

Guyton, who was among four linebackers to work out for the Dolphins on Wednesday, is versatile linebacker who should fit well in a Miami defense that is expected to use both 3-4 and 4-3 looks under first-year coordinator Kevin Coyle next season.

Addiction is a tough foe. Guess he'll get clean now. Shame. Talk about a total loser.

HELENA, Mont. -- A Montana prosecutor has formally charged former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf with four felonies in connection with allegations that he broke into homes to steal prescription painkillers.

Cascade County Attorney John Parker charged Leaf Thursday with two counts of burglary and two counts of criminal possession of a dangerous drug.

Leaf is accused of entering an acquaintance's home to steal oxycodone on March 29. He was arrested the next day and released after posting bail.

Authorities say he broke into another home and stole hydrocodone two days later.

If convicted, Leaf faces a possible prison sentence of up to 50 years on all four charges.

Leaf is jailed without bond on a 30-day hold on charges that he violated his Texas probation with his Montana arrest.

The customized jersey is $299.00 FYI, but the replica's are kind of misleadingly named, and priced at $99

Yeah that's what I was talking about in the other thread.  In the E-Mail I initially received when you clicked on Dolphins it only had the jersey's like the Wake available.......and my confusion was the fact they were called "Game Jerseys".
I figured that it was probably a misleading name..........thanks for showing that they now have the Authentic jersey's up.
Now I can get a sweet Vincent Agnew jersey.  Tongue out

And regarding the Denney card - I'm pretty sure you can say "I'd rather have".....any other card in that set and be correct. lol
That's why I wanted it though, as a Dolphins collector - I'm pretty sure that's the only Denney Pro-Bowl Jersey card that will ever be available, and there being only 49 of those patches, I had to have one.
You could have found a nice Marino like that Faulk.........I am watching a couple of those in case they wind up affordable.

This is actually the saddest card I own.........I say that because it was a Redemption I got from a pack and when it came out I sold it for $200 but it turned out to be a non-paying bidder.  Tried selling it again, but the person didn't pay again (turns out both of those people may have been very smart lol) ......at that point I just redeemed it.
By the time it finally was made and arrived to me, it wasn't worth nearly that, so I said "screw it" and thought maybe I'd try to collect an autograph for every number one pick..........

So I'm the proud owner of this lol

Anyone who has collected sports items can relate. I have 2 cases of '84 Topps baseball card sets in storage if you are interested..lol Paid about $20 each then. Maybe they are worth $17 now..:)

(Made a killing on Marino Rookies though)

I also remember buying the USFL sets for like $10, and sold them for $400 each years later. In the end, it all evens out. If you work at it you can make some decent money, but as just a collector...it usually isn't about the money. It's generally for enjoyment.

Very true.
For me it's a combination of things - I love sports, I do like to"collect" things and the biggest is I do have that side of me that likes to gamble.  It's probably unhealthy lol, but buying a box of football cards took the place of somethnig like going out and buying some scratch lottery tickets.  In many ways it's the same thing, but with the cards at least it has the collecting aspect, it's fun to open.  and you always wind up with something tangible even if you don't "win" or "win big".

I'm not sure what the 84' baseball would be worth.
Despite the (now seen as) over-production of cards in the 80's the 1984 Football still carries a premium.  It would cost about $400 still for a box of that today.  People still love their Elway and Marino. Laughing

Well the Red Sox are now making the Dolphins look like a well oiled machine.

Fuck****ing Unreal.

I wish I hadn't become so indifferent to the NBA......Then I'd probably be enjoying the Bulls more.
With the way the Sox are going this is going to be a long summer.......and man do I hope the Dolphins have a good draft (even though it'll just be on paper) something to be excited about. Cry

At this point I'm not going to argue with you.
Blue Jays are playing better ball.......and dare I say a better built team.

I'm not one that's ready to go after Bobby V with a flaming torch yet.
Not sure what he's supposed to do when you're running Darnell McDonald, Cody Ross and Jason Repko out as starting OF'ers.
And above all else - that Bullpen is a mess.  I'm not sure I've seen anything like it lol  The fact most of those guys are scrap-heap pickups or average at best is really the reason I'm pretty worried this early in. / rant

The only bright side at this point is I held off on buying MLB.TV since they had so many national games this week......it;s saving me a few bucks, but I'd rather pay the $20/mo. and have somethng entertaning to watch throughout the summer.
Maybe I'll go to Wrigley tomorrow........watch some other teams play.

I'd be concerned about the way the players have so far alienated themselves from him (or vice-versa). I'm suprised it happened quite early in the season.

That outfield is horrendous though. You did fail to mention Sweeney, one of my favourite players, and maybe the best of the four (maybe not Ross). But you have Marlon Byrd, and I hope the short time you've been in Chicago won't influence your opinion on him. He'll do decent, I think.

In time, the bullpen will be decent. A backend of Bailey/Melancon isn't bad, when they're not injured/struggling mightily.

It's more Boston's rotation that scares me (or delights me, being a Jays fan). Bard and Doubront, who knows? Buchholz and Beckett are both volatile and injury prone, and there seems to be little depth after them.

I'd be really worried about the Sox. Lack of depth + Lacluster Bullpen + Bad clubhouse = disaster, not that I'd mind seeing itWink

Well you are on to something there.  In truth that is the underlying reason for the fan base freaking out so early.......it's those negative vibes.  A team that's lost their identity, their "swagger"........and when that's noticeable, it's tough to just brush all the suckage aside.
I'd blame Bobby more, but it really seemed that started last year.........and really while watching Tito get a huge advantage at the 100 year celebration the other day, I was thinking - He's lucky he got out when he did, because things already fell apart under him last year, and with the roster and the injuries, I'm not sure it would be much different if he was still the manager.

I did fail to mention Sweeney.
He has actually been pretty good, so that's why I didn't want to include him in that rag-tag group lol.  And the fact they are platooning him, so he has not been in there everyday.

I think Melancon had the worst stat line I've ever seen for a guy who pitched in 4 appearances.
18 batters faced   12 reached base  5 home runs and 11 runs given up.  Yikes!

A pretty good read. Not sure whether to feel sorry for him, or tell him to get off his behind and find something to do.
