Dog-now we're talkin. That is what FFB is all about...gettin together with the boys, crackin open a few, getting caught up and telling old tales, maybe even breaking out some old habits, that have otherwise been left behind.
I can hardly wait for my 2 leagues with local buddies to get together. We have been known to have guys fly in from as far away as Kentucky and California for the draft weekend. Sounds like your predraft fits into the mold-Have fun, don't drive and send the wives shopping... |

I recently just got a facebook comment about when our draft was going to be held and then the whole crew jumped on it saying the same thing. usually I am the one getting on those guys but with madness going on with my schedule of life...Time has flown!!! We are a 12 man league but only 5 are local so the other 7 do the draft on the computer. Draft night is a fun time forsure. We actually go very little with talking to each other in the off season because we spend so much time with each other during the season via phone, eamils, chats, so fourth. (Plus the 5 guys that live here we also play on the same football and basketball team together).....its a welcomed break that turns back into excitement after the few months away....
The draft is a solid month away but the excitment starts to burn while the smoke blows in from across a few yards away carring that grilled chicken and just a touch of pie smell that drives a man food crazy!!! ![]() -DUB- "Call me Champ if you'd like" |

Hey Duff, <br /> <br /> Thanks Sam i know I have stated many, amny times that Miller would be the best RB in Miami this year when the season is all said and done. I also think if he gets the starting job soon enough that he could be a top 5 back this year and a top 10 pick in next years draft. We are going to put every person's prediction on our new website so we can compare them, the level of difficulty, and the accurcy and grade them for next year so people can start paying the Foot for his advice next year and avoid any misconceptions. Also Duff if you go back to page 172 on here you will see that I started way back then talking Miller up. See Duff, you just didn't go far back enough. I know it was very far back so don't feel bad. That is how good i am that it was predicted by me so long ago that you couldn't even find it and now JE and Richards and the rest of the world is SLOWLY catching up to The Foot 3 month old predictions. That just shows I am three months ahead of everyone else in this business. If you go all the way back to page 172 on these boards and read every post I made on the page you will read all the stuff I said about Lamar Miller. And you read this:<br /> Man I just love this Miller guy. I think Miami drafting him just shows they are not feeling Danial Thomas like I said last year. I think Miller will be great. I love our draft this year and I think wr Edmond Gates who we drafted last year in the fourth with his 4.32 speed is the reason we didn't go after wr higher in this year's draft. Gates is the next Mike Wallace</a> waiting to happen. I think it is going to be a fun year watching the Dolphins</a> after all. Nothing against Daniel Thomas</a> but i just wasn't crazy about the second rounder last year. I hope he can be used in short yardage situations successfully this year, but unless he works harder I don't know if it can happen. Might be why they drafted the 2012-2013 heisman trophy winner and first overall selection in the 2013 draft this year had he stayed in college another year. Duff in that statment you will see that i am claiming that Miller would have won the Hiesman if he stayed in school for his senior year and would have been the number one pick next year in the NFl. I further thick it will be a short matter of time before Miller is going to be the main guy in Miami. a Couple of amazing runs will be all it will take. I don't know who was really responsible for this years Miami draft, but they took the right QB I wanted and the right RB - one of the best drafts miami has had for as long as I can remember. Also if you go to page 170 you will see that i won the NFl draft challenge too, ok i forgot about that one but while looking back I seen it. To many awards to keep track of. And guys when i win both leagues I promise I won't just be sitting on my perch waiting for people to post so I can swoop down and proclaim to be the best, like Sam wrote that one time. If someone can recall that awesome writing from Sam that would be appreciated. I am looking at you Wil!

What a coinsidence. You guy know how I have been saying Lamar Miller is gonna be a break out back this year ever since the NFL draft.Did some back-reading on this thread from after the draft. Foot, not once have you ever said any such thing about Lamar Miller. You've raved about Tannehill and made a bet but no mention of Miller anywhere other than asking for a few others' opinions on the Dolphins 2 new RB's. I did, however, find something that Joe posted that made me laugh again: I have an old cell phone without a keyboard. So when I text someone I have to use the T9 function. When ever I hit the keypad to spell "dont" (the contraction for 'do not' without the apostrophe, which is 3-6-6-8) the T9 function defaults to "foot." I don't use the word "foot" much in daily conversation. (Not as much as the word "dont" anyway.) |

Can't remember which thread or when but he actually has made more than 1 post about Miller. Might have been around the draft when we had that crazy draft contest....all I can say is I will be watching my spelling as close a possible as I would hate for you guys to think I was one of Footnicks other accounts as I have been defending him a little lately. Damn. Sam |
